We’re proud to celebrate Asithuthuke Combined School, one of Columba Leadership's partner schools, for winning 2nd place in the uMngeni Local Municipality E-Waste Collection Schools’ Championship — held in partnership with eWASA and POLYCO as part of International E-Waste Day.

During the third-term holidays, learners collected an impressive 300 kg of e-waste, earning a R1,000 voucher and a R1,500 cash prize.

This initiative not only promotes responsible e-waste disposal but also highlights the power of youth leadership in driving positive environmental change.

Well done to the Columba Leadership Trust team and the learners of Asithuthuke Combined School for leading by example and showing what values-based leadership in action looks like.

Mandela Day Community Garden Project

This Mandela Day, we're turning inspiration into action! We’re proud to continue our partnership with Asithuthuke Primary School and Columba Leadership through a meaningful new initiative.

On 18 July, learners, teachers, and community partners will gather at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site to celebrate Mandela’s legacy by getting their hands dirty for a good cause: planting and growing food gardens to support future generations.

Programme Highlights:
- Educational talks from learners & teachers on Mandela’s impact
- Traditional dance performances
- Community-driven food garden planting
