Two days ago, on the 24th of March, Thor’s long and incredibly brave fight with cancer and all its complications came to an end.
The thought of putting this post together—of making it that much more real—felt overwhelming.
But as we looked back through nearly eight years of precious memories captured in photos, we were reminded of just how full and beautiful a life we shared with our boy.
It was because of Thor—his endless love for adventure, his excitement in making furry friends, meeting new people, and of course his deep love for food—that DogGo and Co was born. He was, and always will be, at the heart of it all.
There is truly nothing like experiencing the world through the eyes of your furchild. Thor embraced every moment, every new place, every new smell and sight with pure joy. He didn’t just go on adventures—he felt them, fully and deeply.
Looking through our photos brought back so many of those incredible moments we were lucky enough to share. Each one a reminder of the life he lived so wholeheartedly.
Thor had a special way about him. He made true friends wherever he went—not only with other dogs, but with people too. His calm, gentle nature shone so brightly that people from all walks of life were drawn to him.
We feel so incredibly honoured that he chose us. He was truly an angel sent to walk beside us through some of our toughest times. We fought as hard as we could alongside him, holding onto every bit of hope as we faced the disease together—but in the end, it simply wasn’t meant to be.
Everything feels so empty right now. There are reminders of him everywhere, and with them, so many tears. This is the quiet, aching cost of loving a pet so deeply—the time we get is never, ever enough.
We loved him for his whole life, and we will carry that love with us, holding onto him in our hearts and memories, for the rest of ours.
Rest easy our beautiful boy.
