Yesterday, September 27th, the children, parents, and staff of Sibanye Special Day Care Centre were honored to join the congregation at Christ Church Grahamstown right here in Grahamstown.

Christ Church has been a valued partner of ours, warmly inviting our centre each year. This special annual service gives the church community a wonderful opportunity to see the real-world impact of their generosity and shared commitment to supporting our special needs children.

Our delegation was led by Centre Manager Miss Nomalungisa Lungie Maloni, joined by Assistant Secretary to the Board Miss Andiswa Stofu, staff member Mrs Nontle MaZduli Nobhuntu, and our amazing children and parents.

Our Sibanye team recently met with a psychologist at the Assumption Centre in Joza location.

The caregivers' dedication to our children is immense; however, their efforts can be emotionally draining. Many have reported feeling exhausted, overextended, and lacking motivation.

This session was aimed at providing a platform for them to express themselves and receive support. We really commend our team for taking this essential step.

We are thrilled to announce that Sibanye Special Day Care Centre has officially reopened its doors for 2026. Our beloved children are back, and we are excited to welcome new additions to our Sibanye family! This marks another chapter in our journey of providing care, love, and support to children with special needs.

Furthermore, we encourage all parents, families, and members of the community to visit our centre. This is an opportunity to witness the day-to-day activities that make Sibanye a special place and to learn more about how to care for, guide, and nurture children with special needs. Our doors are always open to those who seek to understand and support our mission.
