Slowly but surely we are getting there. Watch this space as we do the riding school setup in Franschhoek. We will be ready for lessons from beginning February

Little bit of rain - ponies all snuggled up for the night - either in stables or paddocks with walk in shelters.

Toffee has come a long way after her tendon injury that happend end of April.
She is settling well in the day to day routine with limited space to restrict her movement.
Even though she is comfortable in her environment she is still showing signs of lameness. Which is to be expected with a tendon injury.

We are arranging another raffel sale as we have a small amount still outstanding at the vets.
The raffle is as follows:
1 hour ride for 2 people @ R450 per ticket.

Back story:

Our beloved mare Toffee had an accident in her paddock last night where se cut the back of her pastorn and a small cut on the back of her fetlock - bleeding and sore but not so bad right? We can just get her stitched up and shower her with love and affection, right? Nope, not this time. We ended up taking her to the vets to get her stitched up and then got the call to say that that small cut we saw on the back of the pastorn is infact small but very deep.
She has cut a part of her tendon as well. The poor girl needs an operation if she ever wants to be able to move without pain and oh boy does she love moving.
Toffee has been an important part of our herd and has touched so many lives. She has taught kids and adults to ride and be safe and comfortable around horses. She has the patience of a saint and she is one of the riding school favourites.

We are praying for a full recovery and we stay hopeful that we will receive the funds for her operation.
