🌸 WOMEN’S MONTH CLOSING CELEBRATION | KHOMBINDLELA SECONDARY SCHOOL 🌸

As we wrap up Women’s Month, our incredible female educators at Khombindlela Secondary School came together for meaningful sessions celebrating what it means to be Imbokodo — strong, resilient, empowered and influential women. 💪🏽🌺

The sessions focused on women’s empowerment, leadership and the important roles women play in shaping our school community. Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, our female educators reflected on how they can continue making a positive difference in the lives of our learners and in the school as a whole.

To close off the month in style, our female educators proudly wore their Phinifa, symbolising strength, culture, dignity and leadership. 👗✨

Khombindlela Secondary School Hosts UMhlathuze Youth Movement for Girls and Women’s Talk.

Yesterday, Khombindlela Secondary School hosted the UMhlathuze Youth Movement for an important Girls and Women’s Talk.

The aim of the programme was to raise urgent awareness about the serious challenges facing women and girls, including gender-based violence (GBV), r**e, sexual assault, and the killing of women and girls.

The speakers also aimed to educate and empower young women by providing information about organisations and structures available to support them when they need legal assistance, health services, counselling, and other forms of support. Most importantly, the message was clear: they are not alone, and help is available.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the following organisations and individuals for leading the programme and sharing such meaningful and empowering information with our young women:

KHOMBINDLELA SECONDARY SCHOOL STAFF DEVELOPMENT 🌟

The Khombindlela family had an inspiring and highly productive Staff Development Programme at Task Umfolozi Casino.

The day focused on Leadership Development, with the guest speaker unpacking the Five Levels of Leadership that can help sustain and strengthen a school:
1. Position – People follow because of your position or title.
2. Permission – People follow because they trust and respect you.
3. Production – People follow because of the positive results and impact you create.
4. People Development – Developing others so that they become capable, motivated and willing to contribute.
5. Pinnacle – The highest level of leadership, where a leader earns lasting respect and creates leaders who can continue the legacy.

The session also emphasised the importance of effective lesson preparation. A well-prepared teacher is one who maintains a comprehensive and well-organised lesson preparation book, ensuring that teaching and learning remain purposeful and effective.

👏 The SGB representatives expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the entire Khombindlela family—from the security and gate staff, kitchen staff, educators, administration, and Senior Management Team—for their dedication and commitment to putting the African child first.

🏅 The SGB also honoured the former Khombindlela Secondary School Principal, Miss N. K. Mthiyane, with a token of appreciation in recognition of her outstanding commitment, service and leadership during her tenure.

🙏 Thank you to the SGB and School Management Team for organising such an incredible leadership development programme. Together, we continue to grow, lead and build a stronger Khombindlela family.

What a remarkable day for our Khombindlela Grade 9 learners! 🎉🏆

The Inter-House Games brought together fun, unity, teamwork, problem-solving and creative thinking. With the guidance of their class teachers and Grade Head, learners stepped outside the classroom to learn, connect, compete and simply enjoy themselves.

These moments remind us that learning is not only about books—it is also about building character, confidence and teamwork. 💪🏽✨
