Good day, fellow Durbanville moms!
The survey will be closing on Saturday 28 February 2026. Thank you to everyone, for your support in answering it and all your advice and opinions!
I’d really love to get some honest input from other parents in the area. I’ve been thinking a lot about the gap between school finishing times and parents still being at work, and how tricky it can be to find a place where kids are not only safe after school, but also actually supported with their schoolwork.
It got me wondering how other moms would feel about having a kind of learning-focused after-school space. This is not traditional aftercare, but instead a calm place where kids can do homework, get help with learning struggles, learn study techniques, and get guidance with test and exam preparation when needed.
Together with a friend (we both have extensive education backgrounds), I’ve been exploring this idea very informally, especially since my home is well set up to accommodate a small group of learners in a structured, supportive environment.
Before even thinking any further, I’d really just love to know, is this something you, as a parent, would find at all helpful or valuable for your child? I’m especially curious to hear from moms with kids in Grades 1–12 in and around the Durbanville area. I have nothing concrete to offer at the moment, just genuinely interested in your thoughts and experiences. If this does sound appealing to you, I would greatly appreciate if you would complete the following survey:

As the assessments, exams and school year comes to an end, many of us parents begin the journey of starting to worry. Wat will / do the marks the reflect? What do they mean and what / when should we intervene? Early intervention always leads to the best success. If you are not sure, feel free to reach out to me for a free chat for guidance. NOTE: I do not work in groups, but one-on-one with students.
Please note we also now have formalised our most popular support sessions into a Introductory package. Please let me know if you are interested in prices for this or would like to sign up to start to do this next year. Best to have a chat to me and hear what I offer and if it is a good fit for you and your child, before you commit. And before I get filled up.
Check out my page for more information about me and what I offer.

To all my wonderful followers, clients, and students: I have some exciting news to share!
I’m thrilled to announce that I will now be affiliated with several educational institutions. This collaboration can take different forms, from supporting an institution on my social media platforms to receiving some form of financial reimbursement.
No matter what the agreement may be between me and any school or learning centre, I want to reassure you of one important thing: I will NEVER endorse or support an institution that does not align with my values. I would NEVER recommend a school to you that I wouldn’t wholeheartedly stand behind.
At the same time, please remember that if I do not endorse or follow a particular school, it does not mean there is anything wrong with them. Please don’t jump to conclusions. Feel free to ask me directly if you’re ever unsure.
As always, I am here to support you and your children on your educational journeys; to help you feel comfortable, safe, less anxious, and ultimately successful.
To any schools and Learning Centres out there, please feel free to reach out to me for a chat. I would love to hear more about you.
