ART THAT TELLS OUR STORY...

Some things are more than beautiful — they carry a story, a dream and a piece of someone’s heart. ❤️

These two beautiful commissioned paintings at RAL Academy were created by Reynecke, a close and very dear friend of myself as founder. Ben has walked alongside me, Ingrid, and has known the dream of RAL Academy long before it became a reality.

The olive trees painting in our foyer represent growth, strength and being deeply rooted in sturdy ground — a beautiful reflection of what we strive to create for every learner at RAL Academy.

A place where learners can put down roots, feel safe and supported, grow at their own pace, and discover the strength and potential within themselves.

And then there are the three birds...

They represent my three boys — my greatest constant throughout my life, an important part of the journey that led to the dream of RAL Academy. Through my own experiences as a mother, I understand the need for an alternative educational environment where learners with different educational needs, strengths and challenges could be seen, understood and supported.

Our second painting captures a calm and tranquil landscape filled with different colours and flowers.

Just like the flowers, every member of our RAL family is unique. Our teachers, staff and learners each bring their own gifts, personalities, strengths and qualities — and when those gifts come together, they create something beautiful.

Flowers have a wonderful way of bringing colour and happiness into a room. That is what I hope every person who walks through the doors of RAL Academy experiences — a little more hope, happiness, acceptance and belonging.

RAL Academy is so much more than a school. It is my dream built on the belief that education should meet the learner where they are, while helping them discover where they can go.

I am incredibly grateful for the friends who have believed in this dream, supported it, encouraged me and walked alongside me on this journey.

Thank you, Ben Reynecke, for not only sharing your incredible artistic talent with us, but for becoming part of the story and the heart of our RAL family. Your paintings will forever remind us of where this dream came from — and why we continue to build it.

What an amazing team, minus 4 who left early!
Thank you for a busy, stressful term with you all "holding" our learners and each other. Remember that each one of you is unique, with great talents and beautiful souls. Love you all. Your principal.🙃

RAL Academy Open Day on Saturday was a huge success! Our learners had the most amazing stalls selling creative items, bakes and spoils. We were blessed with beautiful weather and a fun vibe with RALox timetrial challenges, foozeball challenges and parents mingling and getting to know each other.
Can't wait for our next Market Day in 2027!
Thank you to our amazing sponsor of our Feather banners and Gazebos WP Motors properties for you lovely pancakes and hamper in support of RAL Academy, and
