Girl-School is the brainchild of Anri van der Linde, previous owner and principal of JAFFAE (Johannesburg Academy For Finishing And Etiquette) - A life-changing course for teenage girls (aged 15 - 18), founded in 1990. "I have had so many parents asking me to enroll their daughters for JAFFAE but they are just not the right age yet. I really believe that "tweens" (pre-teens) should start to learn the basic skills of self-development and personal presentation at this early age already so that they can start to cultivate good habits and built a good, solid foundation for positive self-esteem. My vision is to create a fun, learning environment for the girls where they can learn about themselves and the basics in how to present themselves to the world with confidence." The course is presented in English and Afrikaans at various locations in South Africa.
