Nicholas Hunt matriculated from Fairmont High in 2010, after which he went to UCT to complete a degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from 2011 – 2014. He then completed his Masters in Advanced Motorsport Engineering at Cranfield University in the UK, finishing at the end of August 2016.
Upon completion of his Masters,Nicholas joined Mercedes AMG
High Performance Powertrains as a Graduate Mechatronics engineer, based in Brixworth, UK, where the engines and technology that drive Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team
are designed and built, in particular for Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, plus a number of other F1 teams.
He is now actively part of the team designing and engineering
the new technologies for the 2017 F1 season.
