The Durban University of Technology Powerhouse has landed in the Mother City. We are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of our Hult Prize DUT delegation in Cape Town for the National Competition. Our innovators are ready to take the stage and show the country what "Unlimited" looks like.

πŸš— Sphesile Jali (Taxi Fynder) representing DUT on the national stage is accompanied by
🌿 Hlengiwe Carol Dlamini (Amandambi Pure Solutions) and ♻️ Siphosethu Mzimela (Think Waste Africa). None of this would be possible without the support of innobiz DUT Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation as they keep on ensuring that student entrepreneurs are assisted and well capacitated in line with the institution's position on student entrepreneurship development.

The dedicated leadership of our executives, Mohau Kabini and Sthandiwe Mgube, who have worked tirelessly to steer this ship to the nationals is also amongst the team in
Cape Town.
Get ready, the Durban heat has arrived.πŸ”₯πŸ’‘

In the Hult Prize DUT 2026 On Campus Competition, the standard was set, business presentations were bold and the ex*****on was intentional. The competition was more than a local event, it was a celebration of innovation, discipline, and impact-driven entrepreneurship at Durban University of Technology.

Over the past weeks, student entrepreneurs engaged in structured preparation sessions, pitch refinement, and compliance alignment to ensure they competed at global standards. At least 10 powerful businesses showcased their scalable business ideas across sustainability, fintech, and digital innovation.

πŸ‘ Congratulations to our outstanding teams:
πŸ† Winner: Taxi Fynder
πŸ₯‡ 1st Runner-Up: Think Waste Africa
πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Runner-Up: Amadambi Pure Solution

These teams demonstrated not only creativity, but viability, structure, and growth potential

A sincere appreciation to innobiz DUT Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation for their continued commitment to strengthening student entrepreneurship and supporting innovation ecosystems on campus. Platforms like this thrive because of institutional partners who believe in transforming ideas into sustainable enterprises.

We also thank our judges and partners for elevating the standard of business presentations that were pitched in the competition. Not forgetting the organising committee for making this day possible.

We are looking forward to supporting the winning team as they have advanced to the National Competition to represent Durban University of Technology.
