Cooking with ostrich...a healthier option!

Students from the International Hotel School cooked up something special in top supermarkets in November and December last year. A strategic partnership between Klein Karoo International (KKI) which supplies 65 percent of the world’s ostrich meat, Willow Creek Olive Oil and Snappy Chef, saw our young chefs not only showing consumers how to cook up flavoursome feasts but also introducing them to the safe, fast and stylish Snappy Chef, a revolution in cooking that cuts electricity usage by half and cooks 64 percent faster than an ordinary stove.

What are your plans for the Easter weekend?

Easter is a time not only to commemorate the Christian holidays but also to indulge in all things sweet. Sbusiso Ngcobo and Mbali Dladla, Culinary Arts students at the International Hotel School’s Durban campus got down to creating all sorts of tasty and delightful treats which they will be reproducing for their families this Easter.
