Anyone one out there. Looking for some one to enlist UKZN First Year Engineers to our Webpage and to take over its future management.
UKZN Electrical Design 1 Class
Welcome to Matlab, Stewart Pugh and Edward de Bono and of course Ed Chikuni
How are you doing with design? Just remember Pugh, de Bono
I was so much looking foward to seeing you this Semester and to note your progress. But this will now not be! I will be moving to a University in Cape Town from February this year. Still, lets keep this web page going.
I would like to meet all those who made it in Electrical Design 1 Examination. Blast your Vuvuzela while riding the wicked avatar! Those that are supping; remember pugh, debono and WA are always with us.
How many people have read the and understand handwritten "solutions". How many have read or run the scripts in UKZN learning "Bits & pieces"??
The number of respondends will be known, not their names or gender. The systems is completely anonymous. If there are too few respondents then the survey will have little value. Luckily the survey is open to after the exams so dont worry too much.
I see only 3 people have filled in the UKZN QPA questionnaire, there are about 300 in the Electrical Design Class 1 of which 114 are fans of the class.
Check on the Moodle (UKZN Learning) and your e-mails for detailed instructions on the Design Philosophy assignment.
We have hit the 100 fan barrier. Its a good start to like the class. How is the pv lamp assignment. Who has progressed most? Who still doesn't know what to do?
I am advising everyone that this Monday morning is normal class. Dr Saha will come to attend to all your project issues.

t=[0:0.0001:5];
y0=10;
v0=20;
g=9.81;
y=y0+v0*t-0.5*g*t.^2;
plot(t,y, 'r')
ylabel('Distance')
xlabel('Time (s)')
hold on
v0g=35;
theta0=20
yg=(v0g*sin(theta0))*t-0.5*g*t.^2;
plot(t,yg)
**
To note t is a vector, so note the dot after the t when we have to square it (t.^2)
the same with the x in Question 2; x=[0:.000001:R] and to square an element of x you do this: x.^2
