Writing comes in many flavors🤩 — and two of the big ones are academic👨‍🎓👩‍🎓 and creative writing.💡 Both have their own purpose, style, and rules (or lack of them). Here's a quick breakdown 👇

Creative Writing is more personal and expressive. There aren’t strict rules — you can write in your own style and let your imagination lead. It’s all about using emotion, description, and your own voice to tell a story or share an experience. You can write real-life stuff or make it all up — both are valid. The goal is to connect with the reader and make them feel something. Examples include short stories, poems, scripts, memoirs, and reflective essays.

Academic Writing is used for school work like essays, research papers, and reports — basically, all the serious and structured writing. It should be formal, so no slang or casual language. Stick to facts and back up your points with proper research. A clear structure is important: start with an introduction, then body paragraphs with your main points, and end with a strong conclusion. Also, don’t forget to give credit when you use someone else’s ideas. Common examples include essays, reports, theses, dissertations, and literature reviews.
