Who loves basil pesto? 🀩 We do! Great on just about everything. πŸ€ πŸ€ πŸ€

is sharing her best tips on how to grow an endless supply of this gorgeous herb.

1. Basil πŸ€ needs warmth and does really well in warm, sunny places in a pot or in your garden and enjoys ample watering.

2. If you buy your basil πŸ€ plant in a small nursery pot it will probably stay a little basil plant for a while and eventually die. The best practice is to pot your basil plant into a larger pot or in your garden where it can thrive. Bigger pot, bigger plant.

3. If you are planting your basil πŸ€ from seed, it would be a good idea to grow them indoors and wait for the possible frost to subside before repotting outside.

4. Water well, but don't let your basil plant sit in water for too long as they don't like wet feet. Good nitrogen fertilizer will promote healthy, green foliage. πŸ€

5. Pinch, pinch, pinch. Once your basil πŸ€ plant has started to grow a good idea to promote continuous growth is to pinch off the tops of your plant , this method encourages your basil plant to put out new leaves.

Do you love basil? Let us know in the comments below or comment on your favorite herb so that we can post some content just for you.
