The John Wesley Pre-Primary School, La Lucia, builds on a rich heritage of Methodist schools and has the support of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa. The School strives towards providing a carefully designed education in an environment which encourages mutual respect between individuals and which prepares pupils for the demands of society. A well-researched educational programme has been carefully planned and structured. There is a Playgroup section and a Pre-Primary section consisting of Junior, Middle and Senior groups – the latter being the pre-school Reception Class. Among other things, our aim is to promote confidence, self-discipline, problem solving, social skills, literacy and numeracy.
