AFRIKA | Bezoek aan Zuid-Afrika voor de lancering van een agrarische jongerenorganisatie 🤠✈

Op zaterdag 28 september waren portefeuillehouder internationaal Gerben Boom en NAJK-medewerker Jannyke van Ballegooijen in Zuid-Afrika voor de lancering van een Zuid-Afrikaanse agrarische jongerenorganisatie. Sinds juni 2024 hebben zij wekelijks online overleg gehad met een groep jongeren en samen een document opgesteld waarmee de organisatie AgriYouth Without Borders kon worden opgericht.

De jongeren waren enthousiast over de samenwerking en waardeerden de Nederlandse werkwijze. Hierdoor konden ze in korte tijd hun eigen organisatie opzetten, die zich inzet voor de toekomst van jongeren met interesse in de agrarische sector. NAJK is zeer tevreden over deze samenwerking en wenst de Zuid-Afrikaanse jongeren veel succes met AgriYouth Without Borders! 🤩

In 2024, AgriYouth without Borders was established as an independent entity to champion the interests of young farmers across South Africa, with strategic support from EARN. This milestone celebrates EARN’s ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation of agripreneurs.

At AgriYouth Without Borders, we believe that young people are the future of sustainable agriculture! From fostering employment creation, tackling climate change to breaking barriers in land and market access, we are committed to making a difference.
