🎵🪇 YADA ADVENTURES | MUSICAL FARM WALK @ BABYLONSTOREN 🪇🎵

What an incredible day we shared on 4 June at Babylonstoren! 🌿✨

Armed with our own musical instruments and a sense of adventure, we explored one of the most beautiful farms in the Cape while creating music and memories together.

🥾 We hiked to the historic koppie, where one can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and walked through fragrant fynbos while spotting bee colonies and seasonal delights along the way.

🪨🎹 One of the highlights was definitely the magical Stone Piano! Watching everyone experiment with the bell-like sounds of the ancient dolerite rocks while adding their own instruments created a truly unique musical experience. Leon Venter, a young musician brought his guitar with and created some experimental sounds!

🐃 We also met the gentle Great Chianinia cattle, admired these magnificent animals up close, and learned more about life on the farm.

🐝 Stepping inside the Byzantium gave us a fascinating glimpse into the incredible world of honeybees, making learning interactive, fun, and unforgettable.

The best part? Sharing the adventure with wonderful families, making new friends, and experiencing nature through music, movement, and curiosity.

We're already looking forward to our next Yada Adventure! 💚

🎉 Our first Yada Adventure at Rollercade was a huge success! 🛼✨

On 3 June 2026, we laced up our skates, stepped onto the rink, and created memories that will last a lifetime. From first-time skaters finding their balance to laughter echoing around every corner, it was a beautiful reminder that learning and community happen everywhere.

One of our favourite pieces of feedback was:

And that is exactly what Yada is all about – building friendships, making memories, and creating opportunities for families to connect in a fun and meaningful way.

Because of the amazing response, we’re planning to make Rollercade a monthly Yada Adventure! We’re considering either the first Wednesday or the last Wednesday of every month.

🕰️ Learners are introduced to farm life in the late 19th century⏳ which required a high degree of self-sufficiency.

Our school program invites learners to see how things were done by 👋🏻 hand during this period.

Parents Browse SMV on their own while kids complete the Scholars Program from 9 -12. After the program, families can spend the rest of the day enjoying Soetmelksvlei together.

2) Drive to Babylonstoren.
3) Enter & Pay via Babylonstoren.
4) Cos: R350 per adult. (Entrance & Annual Membership - R150 + Soetmelksvlei Day Entrance R200)
