In the blink of an eye, September vanished into thin air, and before we knew it, summer started sneaking up on us in Cape Town, and let me tell you, we couldn't be more stoked. The kiddos are thriving and keeping busy as bees. Some had term breaks, while others schooled non-stop until the current holidays, but in between, we've been having the time of our lives, unleashing our creativity, supporting NPO's, starting music class and arranging playdates

Term 4 is going to be our entrepreneurial escapade, where we dive into making and selling our own products but for now, we're chilling and soaking up the warmer weather.

August photo dump! It's been a month of non-stop action, but we're loving every minute! The kiddos are thriving, even if they are driving us slightly crazy. Rayna's turning two and Luke's becoming a master of language - it's like they're taking over! Our August escapades: 1) Restaurant day prep - 90% homemade, because we're culinary ninjas! 2) First aid class, because someone always needs a Band-Aid. 3) Birthday celebrations! 4) Mom's planning some super-secret events - fingers crossed!

Term 3 starts with a BANG! last week we spent a few hours handing out home made soup to the less fortunate and the wonderful people fixing up our beach front. 182 cups later the kids were exhausted but filled with thankfulness (and so are we). Today was a blast, we are slowly working towards "restaurant day" at the end of the term and started making our own table decor- can't wait to see the end results!

So it's been WILD and I have not written a single post in quite a few weeks! everybody.

BUT, it has been so blessed! We have had only goodness and mercy follow us.

We did an amazing gameboard day that got all the neurons firing up, then we had an in-house spa day that turned out to be more healing and healthy for the mum's while our kids crafted away. A few of us also visited the Cape Town Museum of Childhood that was really beyond my expectations, the kids could play, craft and read all they wanted with really cool staff helping out at NO cost, they only require a donation if you can manage. The facility is in superb condition and I would definitely recommend this to any mom needing a safe space to just let her kids be. All in all, it was a good and PACKED term 2, we even managed a surgery, trip to the chiro and a cross-country travel experience. To end off the term we had PLAY DAY that involved more mom-talk and coffee.

We are beyond blessed to have a community like this.

Intaka Island, a true urban gem!

Today's bird-watching adventure was an absolute delight. The May weather was perfect, and the bird life was a true marvel. Seeing such exquisite birds in their natural environment was a thrill. It was fascinating to discover how Intaka preserves the natural habitat and maintains sustainability in this urban area.

We appreciate the staff for their remarkable kindness and helpfulness today.

ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING! Need I say more?. The kids had a blast (yes, our 1H session turned into 2.5H of crazy fun) building and coding little robots and learning about new technologies. Thank you Michelle for hosting this and to Sheen technology and staff for being so patient and kind with the all the kids, even the young ones.

What a day! An anticipated train ride experience, a brief walk, and a South African history presentation at Freedom Square V&A Waterfront became a day defined by laughter and the carefree antics of children. We are thankful for the opportunity to homeschool, which allows us to live these full lives

Big thanks to for a great and really safe ride ( and SO affordable) and to the V&A for supplying endless fun.

The last month of this term has been PACKED, and we feel fortunate to be living life to the fullest. Thursday's meetups with moms and their lovely kids are an absolute delight - the highlight of my week. Take a look at our pictures from the walking adventure on the Zandvlei walking trail, hosted by Lize. This is a kid-friendly trail that requires minimal equipment, just a good pair of shoes. Additionally, we had a home art day, which allowed the kids to unleash their creativity through free-spirited art. Of course, this was followed by some leisure time and a sweet treat - ice cream. With summer nearing its end, we are hoping to fit in one more beach day before the rainy season sets in. We will keep you posted. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒด

Oops, parenthood chaos got me and I missed our weekly update! So, we're doing two this week. Yay! This trip was a fave because, let's face it, the rocks were stunning. Dedre, our rockstar tour guide (sorry, had to!), got the kiddos really pumped about geology. We got a bird's eye view of the factory, then spent hours playing among the gorgeous rocks and streams.
