Proteus Learner Achieves National Recognition🌟

Zane Blauw represented Proteus and the Western Cape at the annual National Skills Competition, where Technical learners showcase their talents.

The 2026 national competition was held in Johannesburg, with all provinces competing.

Zane, a Grade 11 learner, did Proteus proud by achieving an impressive 3rd place overall in South Africa in the Motor Mechanics (Automotive) category.

Driven by his dream of becoming a diesel mechanic, Zane's achievement is a testament to his dedication and talent.

Proteus has a proud history in this competition, with two learners winning the Engineering Graphics and Design division in 2024 and representing South Africa in Denmark.

We celebrate Zane's success — an achievement that brings pride to his school, his parents, and the Atlantis community as a whole.

💐🪽It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of three of our ex-pupils since July 2026, Johan Louw, Josua Van Schalkwyk and Franklin Jackson.

Robben Island outreach programme 🇿🇦

Today we made history!* ✨

Our school was selected for the *Robben Island Outreach Programme*.

Our learners didn’t just learn about history — they met history. We met *Uncle Moses Tom*, an ex-political prisoner from Robben Island.

He shared his story, his pain, and his hope. He taught our children that even in the darkest times, we must *never give up and always be hopeful*.

Thank you, Uncle Moses Tom, for inspiring the next generation. 🙏🏾
