As many moms are celebrated today the sad reality is that for many mothers, Mother’s Day is not breakfast in bed, flowers, or being appreciated. It is often just another day of cooking, cleaning, carrying the mental load, and quietly hoping to feel seen and loved.
Behind many smiles are countless women who have spent years giving everything to their families while receiving very little in return. And that silent loneliness deserves far more compassion and acknowledgment than society is willing to admit. 🙏🏻💔

Trauma doesn’t make you stronger. It leaves imprints on the nervous system that can show up as anxiety, depression, trust issues, and even physical health challenges. It disrupts your sense of safety, both within yourself and in the world around you. Strength isn’t something trauma gives you; it’s something you cultivate. Real strength is built in the quiet, often hard work of healing, when you choose to face the pain, gently reconnect with your body, and climb your way out of the darkness, one step at a time.

When the nervous system gently releases its grip on survival, the body begins to remember ease. Inflammation settles. The muscles around the eyes soften. Breath deepens and moves freely again.
In this quiet shift, the body reorganises itself. Regulation begins within the biology, and the outer form simply follows the wisdom of restored balance.

This retreat is not a quick fix.
It’s a starting point for deep, lasting healing from the body outward.
DM for bookings.
When a partner uses money as a means of control, it creates a subtle but profound form of emotional and nervous-system stress.
Financial independence supports a woman’s sense of internal safety, agency, and self-trust. It allows her body and mind to move out of survival mode and into choice.
For example, having her own income can mean being able to say no without fear of punishment, accessing therapy or support without needing permission, or leaving an unhealthy situation when her wellbeing is at risk. Even small steps, such as managing her own bank account or building a personal savings buffer, can restore dignity, clarity, and a felt sense of power.
Over time, financial autonomy becomes part of the healing process, helping women reconnect with their worth and their right to live without coercion.
When the body has been living in a state of hypervigilance for a long time, it often holds itself together through sheer survival energy. As safety returns and the nervous system begins to shift into parasympathetic activation, it is completely normal to feel deep exhaustion. This tiredness is not a setback, it is the body finally trusting that it no longer needs to stay on high alert.
At Release Heal Renew Retreats, we teach women how to use their own bodies to support this transition, allowing rest, regulation and repair to unfold naturally.
If this resonates, you’re warmly invited to DM to attend the next retreat on 7 February 2026, or to book a private session.
Trauma isn’t just what happened in the past, it’s what still lives in the body and its nervous system today.
The tightness. The overwhelm. The anxiety. The exhaustion. Chronic tension and more.
Your body remembers, even when your mind wants to move on and forget about it.
This one-day, trauma-informed retreat is a soft landing place for women who are ready to release stress, reconnect with themselves, and learn gentle, science-backed somatic tools for trauma release and self-healing.
You’ll experience:
• TRE® sessions to support the body’s inherent and natural trauma release process (x2)
• Breathwork, vagus nerve stimulation & grounding practices
• Insightful guidance on how trauma is stored in the body
• A compassionate, supportive space to restore calm and balance
• Drum circle integration - no experience required
If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, tense, or stuck in old patterns, this retreat offers a peaceful reset for your nervous system, and a return to the safety within.
