🚧✨ EXCITING SCHOOL UPGRADE UPDATE! ✨🚧

Dear Parents and Guardians

We’ve got some fantastic news to share with our Excelsior family! πŸŽ‰

During the rainy winter months, you may remember that the area in front of our school hall turned into a bit of a β€œpuddle obstacle course” πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’¦- not ideal for our learners trying to get to class in dry socks! Some parents brought this to our attention, and we listened.

We’re happy to report that the transformation is complete! πŸ™Œ The area has now been fully re-tarred, making drop-offs and arrivals much safer, cleaner, and far more comfortable for our learners. No more splash zones on the way to school! πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈβœ¨

πŸ’› This upgrade was made possible through funds raised at our 2026 Go-Kart Day Fundraiser. A HUGE thank you to all our parents and supporters! You truly help turn fun events into real improvements for our school. We couldn’t do it without you!

And guess what’s next? πŸ‘€

πŸŽΆπŸ’ƒ Our Dance-A-Thon on 25 June is coming up next! πŸ’ƒπŸŽΆ
The learners should get ready for music, movement, and lots of energy, because this time, we’re raising funds to upgrade the learner bathrooms across the school! 🚻✨

We’re counting on your support once again to help us keep making Excelsior brighter, better, and more learner-friendly - one project at a time. πŸ’ͺπŸ’™

Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.

Warm regards
SMT & SGB
Excelsior Primary School

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a historic achievement for our school! πŸŽ‰πŸ“š

On Tuesday, 19 May, three Grade 6 learners and three Grade 7 learners represented our school at the Gene Louw Spelling Bee competition.

A special congratulations goes to Cyra October from Grade 6.1, who was crowned the winner of the Grade 6 competition! πŸ†βœ¨

Cyra dedicated countless hours to preparing for the competition, sacrificing many breaks and studying late into the evenings. Her determination, perseverance, and hard work truly paid off, proving that commitment leads to success.

This victory is especially meaningful as it marks the first time our school has won the Gene Louw Spelling Bee in the five years we have participated. What an incredible milestone!

Well done, Cyra - we are extremely proud of you! 🌟
