**READ THE QUESTION.
THEN READ IT AGAIN.**

When you're preparing for a professional exam, it's tempting to jump straight to the answer options. ~ Don't.

Before looking at the answers, ask yourself:

🔹 What is the question *actually* asking?
🔹 Is it asking for the **best**, **most likely**, **first**, or **most appropriate** answer?
🔹 What key words or qualifiers should I pay attention to?
🔹 What would I expect the answer to be before seeing the options?

Then read the options carefully.

Sometimes the difference between the right answer and the *almost right* answer is just one word.

**Don't let the options do your thinking for you.** 😉

Today, 15 September 2026, The IIA’s Third-Party Topical Requirement becomes effective.

For internal audit functions providing assurance over third-party risk, this introduces a consistent baseline for assessing the governance, risk management and control processes surrounding third-party relationships.
