This extraordinary family from Brooklyn generously housed and fed our visiting South African dancers during their ballet intensives at ABT and Manhattan Youth Ballet a couple of years ago. They’ve stayed in touch ever since—and have now reunited, quite auspiciously, in Rome! What began as a cultural exchange has grown into a deep, global friendship. Our hearts are so full and grateful.

Milisa Mathiso, one of our sponsored dancers who began her dance journey with the Dance For All outreach program in Zolani. She trained at Dancescape South Africa and The Next Step Dance Academy, then took her talent to Jazzart Dance Theatre. After spending 3 months at Vivo Center, she returned to Jazzart, just graduated with pride, and is now an official company member at Jazzart🤍
