πŸ‘ How often do we need to find our bearings?

After one of my recent talks, someone shared a thought with me that has stayed in my heart.

They said there is no set timeline for returning to your own peach pip.

Sometimes we need to revisit those lessons.

To pause.

To reflect.

To reset.

Before we move forward again.

I smiled because that is exactly what Life's a Peach has always been about.

Finding your bearings isn't something you do once and then tick off a list.

Life changes.

We change.

And sometimes the bravest thing we can do is return to the quiet place within ourselves where we remember who we are.

The PIP remains.

Always.

I hope this weekend gives you a chance to pause, reflect and find your bearings again. β€οΈπŸ‘

🐰 Today's Companion: Harper & Hughey

Every morning and every evening, Harper and Hughey are waiting for me.

Before I know it, they've taken me into the garden again.

I'm no longer just feeding rabbits. I'm foraging.

A few sprigs of parsley. Some basil. A hibiscus flower. A handful of herbs.

Harper has a tiny white speck on the end of her nose. It somehow makes her even more irresistible.

Hughey patiently waits with his beautiful red eyes watching every move I make.

They don't know they're teaching me anything.

They simply know I'll come.

And somehow, every day, they remind me that love often looks like showing up in small ways.

It's amazing how the ordinary quietly becomes extraordinary when we're fully present.

Life's companions have a way of helping us find our bearings...
one small moment at a time. πŸ‘β€οΈ

🐾 Today's Companion: Jasper

This morning Jasper decided he didn't really want to eat on his own.

He took a few mouthfuls. Then he stopped. He looked at me.

So I sat beside him and fed him by hand.

As I did, I found myself thinking...

Don't we all have days like that?

Days when we simply don't have the strength to keep going on our own.

Days when we need someone to quietly sit beside us.

Not to fix us.

Not to rush us.

Just to help us take the next bite.

What struck me most wasn't that Jasper needed a little help.

It was that I had the privilege of being there to give it.

Sometimes love isn't found in grand gestures.

Sometimes it's found in one quiet moment... one spoonful... one act of kindness at a time.

πŸ‘ The extraordinary really is hidden in the ordinary.

🐾 Today's Companion

This evening, Peyton and I went for our walk.

The sky was beautiful. The air was calm. Everything felt just right ... until she stopped to do what dogs do. πŸ˜†πŸ’©

For a brief moment, all I could see was the mess.

Then it struck me.

One small pile on the path didn't change the beauty of the evening.

And how often do we do that with life?

One awkward conversation.

One mistake.

One disappointment.

One worry.

We let one small moment become the whole story.

Maybe today is simply an invitation to remember...

One small pile on the path doesn't define a beautiful day.

Neither does one difficult moment define a beautiful life.

πŸ‘ The PIP remains.

❀️ Come walk with me. Let's find our bearings.

🌸 Happy Women's Day 🌸

Today, I celebrate the women who keep showing up.

The women who quietly carry more than most people will ever know.

The women who keep loving... keep learning... keep growing... and keep choosing hope.

May you never forget that your worth has never depended on being perfect.

The world doesn't need another perfect woman.

It needs more women who are willing to honour themselves, embrace who they are and become who they're meant to be.

Today, I celebrate you.

Happy Women's Day. πŸ’›

πŸ‘ Today's Bearings Report

The world has been quietly teaching me something.

Not through big moments.
Through ordinary ones.

A coffee mug.
A phone.
A charger.⁷
A pair of blurry eyes.
A neighbour's kind words.
A rabbit.
A peach.

Each one has arrived carrying a lesson.

Perhaps that's what finding our bearings really is.

Not waiting for extraordinary moments...
But learning to recognise the extraordinary companions that have been walking beside us all along.
❀️

The world has been my companion all along.

I just hadn't learnt to recognise it.

πŸ‘ The PIP remains.

πŸ‘ Lost My Bearings? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Today's renewal of my membership...

Last night, in the dark, I proudly plugged my phone in to charge before going to sleep.

This morning I discovered...
I'd been "charging" it with the spare charger sitting in my bedside drawer.

No power. No charging. Just complete confidence. πŸ˜…

Apparently my phone and I are both struggling to find our bearings this week!

Maybe that's the lesson...

Sometimes we think we're connected.

Sometimes we think we're making progress.

Only to discover we're plugged into the wrong thing.

Thankfully...

We can always reconnect.

πŸ‘ Today's Bearings Report

Your bearings aren't something you find once.

They're something you return to, again and again.

Every season of life asks something different of us.

We grow.
We change.
We lose our way sometimes.
We find it again.

That's not failure.
That's being human.

So if today feels a little uncertain, don't be too hard on yourself.

Just pause.
Reflect.
Take the next right step.

Your bearings are still there.
You're simply finding them again. ❀️
