My name is Leandra, and I am a passionate ESL teacher from South Africa, living in the beautiful city of Cape Town! I am a native English speaker and also speak basic Afrikaans. Additionally, I have learned some Shona words to better support my students from Zimbabwe, helping them feel comfortable and confident in class. With over eight years of experience, I have worked with young learners from a
ll over the world. Many of my students began their English journey knowing very little or no English at all, and some even had speech delays. Through interactive, fun, and engaging lessons, I have helped them build strong communication skills and confidence in expressing themselves.

Conversational english- Because who does not love a good insightful conversation, right? I also believe that when students feel understood, they learn better! That’s why I make an effort to learn basic words from their home language to help with instructions and create a welcoming classroom environment.
