My name is Leandra, and I am a passionate ESL teacher from South Africa, living in the beautiful city of Cape Town! I am a native English speaker and also speak basic Afrikaans. Additionally, I have learned some Shona words to better support my students from Zimbabwe, helping them feel comfortable and confident in class. With over eight years of experience, I have worked with young learners from all over the world. Many of my students began their English journey knowing very little or no English at all, and some even had speech delays. Through interactive, fun, and engaging lessons, I have helped them build strong communication skills and confidence in expressing themselves.

✨ My Teaching Approach ✨
I have a preschool teaching background, which means I understand the importance of early language development and play-based learning. My lessons are designed to be:

Fun and Interactive – Using big animated actions, engaging songs, and colorful visuals 🎶🎭
Student-Centered – Tailored to each learner's pace and needs 😊
Encouraging and Supportive – Creating a safe space where students feel confident to speak
TPR-Based – Using Total Physical Response (TPR) and props to make learning easy and engaging 🤸‍♀️
Conversational english- Because who does not love a good insightful conversation, right? I also believe that when students feel understood, they learn better! That’s why I make an effort to learn basic words from their home language to help with instructions and create a welcoming classroom environment.

🌍 Join My Class! 🌍
I am committed to making learning English an exciting and joyful experience for every student. Whether your child is just starting or you are looking to improve your conversational skills, and as a business student I am well equipped to help you prepare for meetings, job interviews as well as to improve your business English skills. I am here to guide, support, and celebrate their progress every step of the way! Let’s have fun learning together!
