As fires continue to burn across parts of the Overberg and surrounding areas, firefighters from multiple municipalities and volunteer teams are working long, exhausting hours on the front lines.

In line with the official call from Overstrand Municipality, LH Reptile Rescue is helping to gather essential supplies to support these crews.

Items currently needed:
• Bottled water & cooldrinks
• Sports / nutritional drinks (Energade, Powerade)
• Energy bars & snacks
• Chips & biscuits
• Saline-based eye drops
• Sweets (to help with sore throats from smoke)

Donations will be delivered to official Overstrand drop-off points / fire stations, as arranged by the municipality.
