Day 2 | Mentoring & Coaching for Senior Managers

Day 2 of the Mentoring and Coaching for Senior Managers programme brought another day of meaningful engagement, reflection and practical learning.

Senior managers from the Cape Winelands DM and West Coast District continued exploring how effective mentoring, coaching, communication and self-awareness can contribute to stronger teams, improved organisational performance and better service delivery within the municipal environment.

Presented by the School of Public Leadership - SPL at Stellenbosch University, in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation Southern Africa and the Western Cape Government Department of Local Government, the programme provides a valuable space for senior managers to share experiences, challenge perspectives and strengthen their leadership capabilities.

A productive two days of learning, connection and professional development.

Strengthening Leadership in Local Government

The School of Public Leadership - SPL at Stellenbosch University is proud to facilitate the Mentoring and Coaching for Senior Management programme for senior managers from the Cape Winelands and West Coast Districts.

Presented in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation Southern Africa and the Western Cape Government Department Local Government, the programme focusses on strengthening leadership capability through practical mentoring and coaching approaches.

Participants are exploring how effective mentoring, coaching, communication and self-awareness can support stronger teams, organisational development and improved service delivery within the municipal environment.

Day Two | Strengthening Public Accountability and Institutional Reform
What an incredible second day at the Symposium on Gender Inequality and Anti-Corruption! 👏🏽

In partnership with Sanlam and the Inclusive Society Institute, we continued meaningful conversations around advancing gender-responsive governance, accountability and institutional reform.

Day Two brought together thought leaders, practitioners, academics and governance experts to unpack critical issues including gender-based violence, corruption, institutional accountability, gender-responsive anti-corruption strategies, women’s leadership and inclusive governance.
The conversations have been thought-provoking, challenging and, most importantly, focused on identifying practical pathways towards stronger institutions and more inclusive governance.

And now… Day Three, the final day! 🔥

We are excited to close the symposium with a strong focus on evidence-based policy, cross-sector collaboration and policy action, culminating in a powerful Call to Action: Advancing Gender-Responsive Governance.

We are honoured to engage with distinguished leaders, including Ms Rose Seretse, Prof Reza Daniels, Prof Thuli Madonsela, Deputy Minister of Justiceand ConstitutionalDevelopment Mr Andries Nel, and Public Protector South Africa kholeka gcaleka, as we explore solutions for a more equitable, accountable and inclusive society.
