We are pleased to introduce another speaker for Graduate Career Readiness.

Leanne Plato (founder of ) will be ending our session with the important topic of Wellbeing and Prioritizing yourself. We believe Career Readiness is not only about positioning yourself but also how you to best manage the demands that comes with work environments.

She says - After realising she was losing herself by catering to everyone’s well-being but her own, Leanne committed to changing this for herself. Since realising the benefits of prioritising her well-being in every way possible, it's something she's committed to advocating for.

That’s how Me, Myself & I, a personal well-being & development platform, was born. It advocates for the importance of prioritising yourself and every aspect of your life as you learn to love yourself better, care for yourself better, value yourself again and rediscover who you are.

A 📚review by

In this book, meet a little girl named who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever.

Viola's story is so powerful, her memoir is truly God's gift to humanity. And of course, I cried, because I couldn't fathom how anyone survived living in the conditions she and her family were living under. It seemed so utterly brutal, especially to the kids. Growing up in poverty can be traumatizing and damaging, and Viola paints for us just how damaging it was for her family.

The beauty of this story comes when Viola and her sisters fight against all odds to get out of a hopeless situation. It's truly amazing how having a dream and a vision for your life can make the impossible happen. Families like Viola's are usually doomed from the get-go but with a strong belief, they got out and turned their lives around.

Another beautiful element of Viola's story is her love story with her husband, it's just nothing short of magical. Julius (her husband) is so intentional about how he supports Viola, loves her, and believes in her. Even after 20+ years of marriage, their love stands strong.

The success Viola has achieved in her career is a testament to the resilience and power of the human spirit. There are so many heartwarming small and big wins in this book. Her story is truly inspirational, I highly recommend it to anyone who has a dream that seems much bigger than themselves.

Please engage in self-care as you read this book. It is quite heavy and intense in the beginning, so take note of trigger warnings that may arise of poverty and abuse.

Give it a read, and tell us what you think?

Something 💥 magical can happen when you read a good book...

We are excited to bring you monthly book picks by Nthabaleng ()

Nthabeleng Stamier, a mom to the most amazing 2-year-old boy and professionally is a pricing manager at one of the largest insurance companies in SA.

I have a strong love and passion for books. I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction. Books have helped me to work on myself and grow, and I know for sure that I'm the woman I am today because of all the gems I picked up in many books. My wish is to get as many women as possible to read on a regular basis - if we only knew the questions we have about life can be answered in many books. A culture of reading and self-introspection makes it so much easier for us to take back our power and take control of our lives.

She says - I always try to remind myself that life is too short and it is to be lived to the fullest, so I go for everything that sets my heart on fire!

We can't wait to share her first book review with you.
