When a child is confident in his or her own abilities to do things they become independent and self sufficient. Children's early experiences and relationships in the first five years of life are critical for development. In the early years, your child's main way of learning and developing is through play. Allowing children to play while learning opens up a dimension for self exploration, self confidence and fine and gross motor development and social and physical skills.

Before the age of normal schooling age 5 and 8 years, the greatest growth and development happens and the brain develops most rapidly. It's a period when walking, talking, self-esteem, vision of the world and
moral foundations are established. The early years of life are critical to the development of intelligence,
personality and social behaviour. If not well established and nurtured can lead to certain learning challenges in the development process.

Physical Development is key in a child's life.

Regular physical activity also helps young children to
build endurance and develop strong muscles and bones. It is key to maintain good sleeping patterns for a child ai they have enough energy to function and learn and play. Physical Development helps improve fine motor skills and gross motor skills including balance, dexterity, and flexibility. A child develops better in their social skills and they more stable and balanced on a physical level.

BILATERAL INTEGRATION

Bilateral coordination is also known as bilateral integration and is the ability to use both sides of the body at the same time. It is important because so many movements and actions require the use of both sides of our body in order to perform everyday tasks including walking, cutting, catching balls, and playing.

Play- Based Learning is key in a kid's early childhood development. Play is a child's work and excitement at a early age in their lives as play is a child's research of the world around them.

They make sense of themselves and the world. A child's language, creativity; skills, cognitions and confidence is enhanced through play.

A kid's neurons are activated when playing, painting, juggling and various other activities.

Neurons pass messages to your brain and the rest of the body. Each neuron can talk to 1000 neurons to pass messages to your brain so your body know's what to do. When a neuron gets a mesage it passes the message to next neuron till it reaches the brain. Humans have over billions of neurons in the body.

At birth, a baby's brain contains 100 billion neurons, roughly as many nerve cells as there are stars in the Milky Way, and almost all the neurons the brain will ever have. The brain starts forming prenatally, about three weeks after conception.

Neurons are key for functioning of human development.

Sensory and Motor Development is the gradual process by which a child gains use and coordination of their large muscles of the legs, and arms, and the smaller muscles of the hands. A baby begins to experience new sensory awareness through their five senses of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.

By gathering different types of objects around the house that can stimulate the senses and please make sure they are safe to use for your age appropriate kids. Attach them to a big cardboard or put them all into a bucket.

Let your child touch, feel the texture and play with them. Ask your child relevant questions about their sensory exploration. This activates the brain for learning and development.

A sense of being and a sense of a healthy attachment.

When there is a positive secure safe environment our kids are attached to us and they feel a good sense of being and calmness. Your child looks and observes you as the parent so that the child is comforted. When there is a positive healthy attachment and connection, your child trusts that you understand his/her needs and knows what is required intuitively.

Your child feels secure in the knowledge that you as the parent is available and there for his/her needs and when life becomes scary, challenging or uncomfortable. Your child believes that calmness surrounds you and it puts him/her at ease and in a state of a relaxed feeling. Neurologically the kids brain is also in a calm state and the kids mood is tranquil and positive. This is highly good emotionally for your kids brain and behavioral development.

Your child’s disposition is warm, relaxed. He or she greets you openly. These healthy attachments results in healthy relationships with child and parent and the connection with life and others in their world. Your child develops well and is confidently independent.

The beauty of a healthy attachment is that it promotes feelings of safety and trust between you and your child. At the same time, this healthy attachment supports the development of a confident, secure child, ready to explore and adapt to new situations of his/her life. A securely attached child investigates neighborhoods, schools, and communities without much fear; secure in the knowledge that they have a safe place waiting for them.

Let us as parents be our kids safe spaces and always give them that long hug, cuddle, support or feeling of ease they need to establish a healthy relationship.

Encouraging and motivating your kids after they have done well or put so much effort into completing a task or achieving something is really key to boosting a positive self concept and building a child's self esteem.

Examples:
" you really worked hard on that".
" you should be proud of yourself".
"you used a lot of ausome colors and it looks wonderful".
"you focused hard on this and I can see that you tried your best"
"you took your time and worked really hard on this picture it's a great job".
"Thank you for helping me with dinner that was very kind of you".

For children, self-esteem comes from: knowing that they're loved and that they belong to a family and a community that values them. Spending quality time with their families, being encouraged to try new things, finding things they're good at and being praised, encouraged, motivated, for things that are important to them and the things they put effort into doing well. πŸŒΊπŸπŸ§πŸ™‚πŸ

The Importance of Mental Stimulation for Your Child's Mind and Brain Development

Research shows that 75% of brain development occurs at the development after birth and it is important that the stimulated activities engaged in by children both stimulate and influence the pattern of their behaviour.

Sensorial Mental stimulation of the brain helps young children unlock their full physical and intellectual potential. The child takes into their minds and absorbs what is learnt through the play activities provided.

When you prepare a good active well organised enriched stimulating environment for your child this environment helps to stimulate brain development and mental stimulation. Their neurons in their brain are being stimulated and absorbing what you provide for them to engage and interact with.

Try to arrange playdates with building blocks, toys, art, dough, kinetic sand and spending time with your child in order to boost thinking skills; creativity skills; stimualting and boosting their active minds.

These below are a few activities I did with my kidsπŸπŸ˜‰

Applying NLP techniques to kids art activities is very beneficial and brings kids into a happy calming state because it help's a child with identifying their learning style to enhance perception & their mental clarity. It is important to install life skills in children for better concentration, enhancement & calming and soothing them from anger.

You can anchor your child in a routine of art or of love.
Some things I'm sure we all can remember from our childhood is the tea and cookies that were waiting when we would come home from school, regular stories from granny, and family coming in on your birthday to sing happy birthday song. So many years later, you are still positively anchored to all of these things. Its amazing.

Connecting with your child in a specific location while they in a positive state example painting; while saying a certain motivational word " That is Ausome " You are Amazing" is an excellent way to allow your child to associate into the feeling of being praised and being anchored positively through art or play.
