Hey moms! Just a reminder that it's okay to prioritize yourself and set boundaries. You don't have to constantly please everyone around you. Taking care of your own needs is essential for your well-being and sets a great example for your family. Remember, you deserve happiness and fulfillment too!

Boundaries use to make me panic! How does it make you feel?
I used to feel so scared to set any type of Boundary, because of what my children, loved ones and friends may think of me. Rude, unkind, selfish... But I was quite wrong and I was only letting myself down!
I now see it as LOVING LIMITS I set, to take care of myself so I can take care of the people I care for so much!

The very reason I embarked on the journey of kicking Mom Burnout in the butt! π€π»
Kids teach us how to enjoy life again when we forget and take it all too seriously ... And yes π also the reason we are so tired and depleted most of the time.
But let it become your mission in life to get back the balance! You can have the best of both worlds - some personal time and the pure bliss of indulging in the love you have for your Blessings called kids.
Simplify life and "smell the roses"... Before we know it, they out of the house and we don't get another chance at being all mom!
Thank you to .clayton for taking this exquisite pic of my girls. You really did capture them perfectly!! π·β€οΈ

Frustration is the first emotion that I start feeling and I'll explain why:
When you and your body doesn't want to do something or feel the need to protect itself, what do we as adults or even children tent to do? We kick up a fuss, complain about having to do this thing or be with that person.
Whereas, if we naturally listen to our body and mind and how we feel about the situation, person or task, we should be putting up a boundary to make sure that we stay comfortable with what we are dealing with.
(I am not referring to reaching goals and pushing limits and comfort zones here π)
This will take away that unwanted anxiety, unwanted frustration and free up the time we could be spending on something or someone we want to engage with.
Think about it.... Start small... But don't put yourself in that sticky, frustrating situation every time. π

Setting Guilt-Based Boundaries:
As moms, it's essential for us to prioritize our well-being and set boundaries in our lives. Whether it's with people, our children, or even certain tasks, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by guilt when we can't meet everyone's expectations.
But here's the truth: setting boundaries is not selfish; it's an act of self-care. By establishing limits, we create space to recharge, maintain our mental and emotional balance, and show up as our best selves.
Boundaries help us set clear expectations, communicate our needs effectively, and ensure that we have the time and energy to devote to what truly matters.
So, let's embrace the power of boundaries and remember that by taking care of ourselves, we're ultimately better equipped to care for those we love.

What does it mean to be a mother!?
Chronic exhaustion, a dirty house, never a dull moment, snotty noses, koki-pen stained furniture and tantrums.
Is this what I signed up for?
Not in a million years...
But what it has taught me...
What kind of mom I am and how I can grow to be a better one. It has taught me resilience and that as a mom you WILL fail, but your kids will never stop loving you. That the challenging moments pass by quick and are forgotten, but the good memories reply in your head each day!
Am I a perfect mom... NEVER! But I'll keep trying to best mom for the both of you!
It's made me realise that there is nothing more important I can do or be than being a MOM!
I love you Shay and Evie! Unconditionally and till the end of time and after!

Hey moms, I want to talk about the importance of not letting guilt take over our lives. We all know that guilt can be a constant companion in motherhood, but it's essential to address it for our own well-being and happiness.
Things such as sleeping in a little to rechargeβ‘or declining a call from a nagging family member that takes up precious time while you are busy should not make you feel like you are a terrible person. Nevermind the guilt you feel setting boundaries that has your tummy in a knot, cause being a supermom you have to say yes to everything and everyone π¬
And remeber when you see something you love or need, don't forget that spending money on yourself is no sin! You are special too β€οΈ don't feel guilty and walk around with holes in your underwear π³
So, let's focus on managing guilt to maintain our mental and emotional health.
