Why Literature based?
Literacy is such an important part of Life and STEM education, especially in primary school. Our students learn through literature and it’s important to realize that reading comprehension naturally fits well with STEM activities.
it’s also super important to be building cross-curricular connections with our students and that is exactly what we were thinking when developing the Elemen-Tale Tech program.
Stories play a vital role in the growth and development of children. The stories they read and the characters they get to know can become friends. Reading is also an essential skill, and being a competent readers helps children with their confidence levels and all current and future endeavors but stories can also help children cope with feelings, improves vocabulary and so much more, You can read more about this at (https://flockmen.com/blogs/from-parents-to-parents/why-stories-are-important-for-children). Sometimes children are not confident or willing readers and we hope that Elemen-Tale Tech's 'Elemen-Tales' with the interactive challenges will help boost reading and comprehension skills and foster a love of reading.
At Elemen-Tale Tech children become a part of the "Elemen-Tales" and it becomes essential to read carefully, comprehend the story and instructions and then take that imagined world and create a tangible realty. Not only are they practicing reading as well as compression but also practical skills like design, engineering, math and science and many of those essential soft skills all while problem solving and really being able to immerse themselves in the story.
