What an awesome first day of Term 3! ExED welcomed 5 new learners into our school and received this tonight from one of our new moms! We are extremely blessed and favoured to be able to make a difference! At ExED EVERY LEARNER MATTER!❣️❣️❣️❣️
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire ExEd team for the way you have welcomed our son into your school. After leaving our mainstream school in town — a journey filled with disappointment, struggle, and emotional exhaustion — we were hesitant, fearful, and honestly bracing ourselves for yet another institution that might be reluctant to take on a child with ADHD challenges, spirit, and fire.My husband attended the initial appointment and explained the difficulties our son had faced, the discouragement we had endured, and the impact it had on him. We expected hesitation. Instead, he was met with warmth, acceptance, and genuine care. It was the first moment in months where we felt hope.On his first day, I dropped him off with a heavy heart — nervous, protective, and worried about how he would be received after such a traumatic few months. At the gate, despite his fear, we were met with hugs, happy faces, and teachers who already knew the children by name. Students ran into the new quarter with excitement, not dread. It was a sight I hadn’t seen in so long.Still anxious, I went home… and then returned to drop off an extra jacket, hoping to catch a glimpse of how he was settling in. He was already in class. At the gate, one of your staff members immediately noticed my nervousness. He spent a few minutes speaking to me about the armour of God, reassuring me with kindness and sincerity. He spoke about the students with love in his eyes — a passion for what your school stands for that was both infectious and comforting.I left that morning with a full heart, hope restored, and excitement for the first time in months.Collecting my son after school felt like receiving back a child I hadn’t seen in so long. He ran into my arms, smiling, telling me how awesome his day was — and that he had already made friends after months of refusing school and withdrawing socially. His joy was real. His confidence was real. His relief was real.I stayed a little longer just watching the other students arrive and leave. Every child had a genuine smile. Every child looked proud to be there. Every child seemed safe, happy, and seen.ExEd has given our son something priceless: a place where he belongs.Thank you for welcoming him with open arms, for seeing his potential instead of his challenges, and for restoring hope in our family. We are deeply grateful.
