Yesterday we attended the WRO Robomission National final for the first time with 2 Elementary teams and two Junior teams. Finding the best words to describe the experience evades me, but a sense of ...we have arrived. It was AMAZING!...and there is no turning back! We loved the competition, seeing the best teams in SA compete towards one common goal...presenting SA proudly.

Yes...it was extremely HARD...borderline brutal!!! Especially since it's our first time and our kids worked on robots and coding which barely scraped the level of expertise needed here.

However, it was an amazing learning experience and we walked away with a sense of...let's do this. Not this year...but hey, we will be back stronger!

Yesterday was a character building day...it is never nice when months of hard work fail on that final scoring run, especially when you had a big score in the practice rounds. Yes, there were tears and heartbreak, but we left as a team and that team is now much stronger with much more experience!

"...we don't use kids to build robots, we use robots to build kids..."

We can't always win but we can always learn...we had a great day with our explorers yesterday. Today we play with the 'big guys' for the first time in Robomission. Excited to be part of WRO SA Nationals.

Watching this video made me smile this morning...these boys have been doing robotics with Booster Kids for the past 3/4 years and has been on this journey of discovery and growth right next to me...they are now gr. 7's and currently ranks 4th in SA. I've witnessed their highs and lows and look forward to traveling with them one last time as we face Nationals this weekend. Proud of my kiddos xx
