Special School Eisteddfod!
81 Learners of Tswellang Special School took part in the annual Special School Eisteddfod at Nobilis Special School in Virginia on the 18th of September 2025.
The results were astonishing and we are extremely proud of our children.
Results according to categories:
Sotho poems: 2 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze
English poems: 7 gold, 10 silver, 1 bronze
Art: 1 gold, 10 silver
Music- Choir: silver
Music- Solo: silver
Music- Trio: silver
Speech Choir: grade 1- gold
grade 6 - gold
Thank you to the 35 staff members who accompanied the learners and thank you to our dedicated culture committee for your hard work regarding arrangements and preparation.

A special thank you to the Grey College National Reunion who donated R20 000 towards our beautiful institution! It is appreciated and will be utilized for specific projects as identified. We will keep you updated on the progress.

Today Tswellang Special School paid it forward by donating comfy cushions for the dogs at Bloemfontein SPCA. We received some old pillows from Hospice Bloemfontein Charity Shop and with a little love we were able to make it usable for those vulnerable animals at SPCA. Thank you to Hospice for helping us to pay it forward. Thank you also to Me. A. Linde and Me. Charlene de Klerk who delivered the donation.
