Newest addition to the practice: Spandex Hammock Swing from Sensoree, based in Bloemfontein.

Purpose: It is a creative and versatile sensory tool that provides opportunities for proprioceptive and tactile input that can regulate the kiddies' bodies. It also enables the therapist to work on postural control and stability, bilateral integration, body awareness, and so much more!

Introducing Wiggly Worm, Wikkel Wurm!

Purpose: Moving through the Wiggly Worm provides proprioceptive and tactile input while encouraging the kiddie to use their muscles against resistance. It helps develop body awareness, core and upper-body strength, motor planning, bilateral coordination, and postural control. The deep pressure and resistance also support sensory regulation and help the kiddie feel more organised and focused.

What a wonderful two weeks of completing another Stimulation Program with grade R learners.

They explored big body movements, visual perception activities, made emotional connections with new friends, found confidence in expression, practiced fine motor skills - and most of all they enjoyed every session! The words that sums it all up: fullness of joy.

Grade R stimulation programs are done on request. Once a small group shows interest, the times and days will be confirmed with the parents.

There are 2 spaces available in the group, starting next week: 14:00-15:00 selected days, 60min sessions (5 sessions in total) over the course of the 2 weeks.

Stimulation Training: Babies & Toddlers

One of the most beautiful parts of stimulation training is when it grows into follow-up sessions a few months later.

These follow-ups not only allow us to celebrate progress, but also serve as a valuable form of early intervention, where areas of development that may be a little more challenging for a baba can be identified and supported early on.

A Virtual Stimulation Training in progress:

Each stimulation training follows a unique process. For this family intake the purpose and pursuit is this:

A settled contentment in their hearts and home, whilst pursuing order and intentional set-ups in the environment for the little one to be stimulated. Not achieving or striving for perfection but to be content and meet his needs and desires.

It's not about making a mere list of things to do, it is knowing who you are is more than enough and you have everything you need already.

After the program an observation letter will be provided.The letter will provide informal assessment observations and recommendations.
