Krugersdrift dam is currently overflowing.
It is located on the Modder river in central South Africa with a capacity of 73 million cubic metres. It was built in 1970 with a total wall lenght of almost 5km and a wall height of 25m. The large catchment area of 6300 km2 is well saturated and runoff significant for this time of the year. The arch gravity dam performs very well. # #
