What a delightful and insightful workshop facilitated by Dr Marianne van Zyl from Blowing Dandelions! 🤩 Each member of the @hearinafrica team obtained a leadership profile from @talltreesprofiles and the afternoon was spent learning what the different tree profiles represent, understanding what gives each of us “frostbite” and exploring ways to harness each others strengths and unique characteristics.💪

Book review #1 for 2025! Just finished listening to the Audio version of Brant Hansen's "Unoffendable". I loved this book. I have to admit in the beginning I was a bit skeptical, being a big fan of Chip Ingram's "Overcoming emotions that destroy" series, as Brant challenges some of those ideas a little bit. But this book was like therapy - it made me laugh out loud, made me cry quite a few times, revealed sinful attitudes in my heart, and most importantly: reminded me of the incredible love of Jesus and the inconceivable grace that God has for all of us. Definitely worth the read (or listen, in this case 😉). I found it on Everand.

A new year is a great opportunity to start growing new habits! Why not set some goals for your own Bible reading this year? You can print this monthly plan and fill in what you plan to read each month. I'm planning to read one of Paul's shorter letters (starting with Galatians) each month. Taking a whole month to meander through one short book means I will have time to read it in different translations, read different commentaries, memorize verses etc.
