A huge congratulations to Joshua and Anja, who are proud members of the Tygerberg Children’s Choir! 💚💛

The choir recently participated in the prestigious Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival, held at Sun City from 5–11 August, where they achieved the incredible honour of being named the top children’s choir at the competition! 🏆🎶

Adding to this remarkable achievement, the Tygerberg Children’s Choir is currently ranked third in the world overall and second in the children’s and youth choir category. 🌍🇿🇦

Joshua and Anja, we are incredibly proud to have two of our very own Vredelust learners forming part of such an outstanding choir. Keep sharing your talents and reaching for the stars! ⭐

Our Easter Raffle Final Winners Draw took place on 19 August, and what an incredible success it was! 🎟️✨

🏆 Congratulations to our three lucky winners! We hope you enjoy your amazing prizes.

🌟 A very special congratulations to Hallen Ragassa, who received recognition for selling the most raffle tickets. What a fantastic achievement!

We are extremely proud to announce that, through this fundraiser, we raised more than R120 000 towards our new artificial grass! 🌱💚 This is an incredible step towards improving our school grounds and creating an even better environment for our learners.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our wonderful Prefects and Mrs February for all the time, effort and dedication that went into organising the raffle, arranging the prizes and making this fundraiser such a success. 👏💚

Thank you also to every learner, parent, family member and member of our school community who bought and sold tickets. Your support makes projects like these possible!

This week, our Grade 2 learners had the opportunity to share their dreams for the future! 🌟

For their oral presentations, they spoke about what they would like to be when they grow up and they certainly dressed the part! 👩‍⚕️👨‍🚒👩‍🏫👨‍🍳👮‍♀️✨

From future doctors and soccer players to firefighters, chefs and so much more. We loved seeing their creativity, confidence and enthusiasm shine through. 💚

Well done, Grade 2s! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your dreams take you one day! 🌈👏

🏐 Mini Netball Tournament 🏐

On Saturday, 1 August 2026, our U/7, U/8, and U/9 netball girls took part in a fun Mini Netball Tournament at Totius Primary School.

The girls showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Most importantly, they had lots of fun, made wonderful memories, and enjoyed every moment on the court!

We are so proud of each and every one of them. Well done, girls! 💚🏐👏

🥋 National Judo Championship Success! 🇿🇦🏅

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Nevan and Elianah at the Judo National Championships, held in Port Elizabeth from 5–9 July.

🥉 Nevan competed in both the Novice (Beginner) and Advanced divisions. He delivered an excellent performance, earning a bronze medal in the Novice category. He then went on to compete in the Advanced division, where he faced an international competitor and secured an impressive silver medal. 🥈

🥉 Elianah also showcased remarkable courage and determination. Competing against two older, more experienced green belt opponents, she displayed exceptional skill and resilience to earn a well-deserved bronze medal.

☕✨ Pajama & Hot Chocolate Day ✨☕

Our little ones had the coziest day today, dressed in their fluffy, warm pajamas and enjoying delicious hot chocolate together. They were so excited to bring their own mugs, and it made the day extra special! 🧸💛

There were smiles, giggles, and lots of happy moments all around.

A reminder that tomorrow is the last day of Term 2. We look forward to ending the term on a lovely note! 🌟

Our learners were so excited to receive their new sports kits and term gifts. The girls look beautiful in their Shift Netball Academy dresses, and our Rugga Roots and Wicket Cricket learners look ready for action in their new shirts! 🏐🏉🏏

🎉 100 Days Smarter! 👵👴

Today our Grade 1 learners celebrated their 100th day of school in the most adorable way…by dressing up as 100-year-olds!

From walking sticks and glasses to grey hair, pearls, moustaches and big smiles, our Grade 1s had so much fun marking this special milestone. They have already learned, grown and achieved so much in just 100 days, and we are incredibly proud of them.

Well done, Grade 1s, you are officially 100 days smarter! 💯✨
