MAJLIS PENUTUP MARINE SURVEYOR AND ISM & ISPS AUDITOR COURSE 2026

Marine Surveyor and ISM & ISPS Auditor Course 2026 telah berjaya dilaksanakan selama lima (5) hari, bermula 20 hingga 24 Julai 2026 di Centre of Technology in Marine Engineering (CTME), Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO). Penganjuran bersama kursus ini adalah antara JABATAN LAUT MALAYSIA (JLM) melalui Maritime Transport Training Institut (Matrain) dan POLITEKNIK UNGKU OMAR (PUO) melalui CTME.

Majlis Penutup telah disempurnakan oleh Pengarah, Bahagian Kawalan Industri Maritim (BKIM), Jabatan Laut Malaysia, Yang Berusaha Tuan Marzuki bin Brahim dengan kehadiran Yang Berusaha Tuan Norman bin Zamri, Timbalan Pengarah Akademik Politeknik Ungku Omar (Mewakili Pengarah PUO), bersama Ketua COT PUO, Pengurus CTME & MarETeCH, Ketua Jabatan Kejuruteraan Perkapalan (JKP), PUO.

Program ini telah menghimpunkan 24 orang Pegawai Laut dan Penolong Pegawai Laut dari seluruh Malaysia, dengan sokongan padu daripada para penceramah, fasilitator serta urus setia Jabatan Laut Malaysia, MATRAIN dan Politeknik Ungku Omar.

Sepanjang lima hari kursus berlangsung, para peserta telah mengikuti sesi pembelajaran yang komprehensif merangkumi Marine Survey, Flag State Control (FSC), Port State Control (PSC), International Safety Management (ISM) Code serta International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Kursus ini bertujuan memperkukuh kompetensi dan profesionalisme pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugas pemeriksaan, audit dan penguatkuasaan maritim selaras dengan piawaian antarabangsa.

Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan terima kasih diucapkan kepada semua pihak yang telah menjayakan penganjuran kursus ini. Semoga ilmu, pengalaman dan jalinan kerjasama yang terhasil menjadi pemangkin kepada kecemerlangan sektor maritim negara.

CLOSING CEREMONY – MARINE SURVEYOR AND ISM & ISPS AUDITOR COURSE 2026

Alhamdulillah, the Marine Surveyor and ISM & ISPS Auditor Course 2026 was successfully conducted over five (5) days, from 20 to 24 July 2026, at the Centre of Technology in Marine Engineering (CTME), Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO). This course was primarily organised by the Malaysia Marine Department (JLM) and the Maritime Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN), with Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO) as the co-organiser.

The Closing Ceremony was officiated by the Director of the Maritime Industry Control Division (BKIM), Malaysia Marine Department (JLM). Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Mr. Norman bin Zamri, Deputy Director (Academic) of Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), the Head of COT PUO, the Manager of CTME & MarETeCH, and the Head of the Department of Marine Engineering, PUO.

The course brought together 24 Marine Officers and Assistant Marine Officers from across Malaysia, supported by dedicated speakers, facilitators, and organising committees from the Malaysia Marine Department (JLM), MATRAIN, and Politeknik Ungku Omar.

Throughout the five-day programme, participants underwent intensive training covering Marine Survey, Flag State Control (FSC), Port State Control (PSC), the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. The programme was designed to strengthen the participants' technical competency, auditing capabilities, and professional expertise in ensuring maritime safety, security, and compliance with international standards.

Our sincere appreciation goes to everyone who contributed to the success of this programme. May the knowledge gained, valuable experience, and strong collaboration established throughout the course continue to enhance the professionalism and excellence of Malaysia's maritime industry.

Today is the 4th day with the delegation of Marine Surveyor and ISM & ISPS Auditor Course Participants 2026 entering Lumut Port to understand the ISPS Code chapter. Take a picture of the side of the Bulk Carrier, Pos Logistic, Length about 200 meters or so and width about 30 meters or so. Cargo load of coal. Registered in Malaysia. Tqsm Lumut Port.

Today marks the third day of the Marine Surveyor and ISM & ISPS Auditor 2026 course for staff of the Malaysia Marine Department . The course is being conducted at CTME-PUO and jointly managed with the Maritime Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN). Best of luck to everyone.

Today another history was created for PUO through CTME, the completion of the EKM-Engineering Knowledge Motor Paper Final Exam is also the last module for the Combined Class Chief & Second Engineer 3000 kW and More Unlimited Trade Voyages (CCSU) Series 3 / 2026 Program. Politeknik Ungku Omar, through the Malaysia Marine Engineering & Technology TVET Collaboration Hub (MaRETeCH) and the Centre of Technology in Marine Engineering (CTME), has taken the initiative to expand the marine survey and inspection sector. This effort aims to educate the community and the marine industry, ensuring operations remain safe, compliant, and efficient. Thank you to the Malaysia Marine Department.

At 3:00 PM on July 13, 2026, the final meeting was held for the Marine Surveyor and ISM & ISPS Auditor Course program for staff of the Malaysia Marine Department. Insha'Allah, this inaugural course will take place from July 20 to 24, 2026, at CTME-PUO. May it receive blessings from Allah. Many thanks to the Malaysia Marine Department. This is CTME-PUO's sixth project for 2026.

He possesses extensive experience in the field of marine surveying. We had the opportunity to learn from him over the course of three days, which helped us at CTME-PUO enhance our knowledge of the shipping industry. He previously served as Executive Director at Ships Classification (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and also worked as the Marine Manager for Bureau Veritas, Malaysia. He is Mr. Abdul Razak bin Ismail.
