Please know that this is not George's email address nor would George ask for gift cards.

The Lake Association is hosting Light up the Lake starting at 9:45pm with fireworks to follow. If you are planning to come to camp to watch fireworks, please stay on the beach side of the road by the campfire area to view the show. We have a large group on site over the weekend who will also be enjoying the fireworks. There is a port-a-potty by the beach if needed.
*raindate is 7/6 and we will have regular camp in session so we would ask the same of visitors on 7/6. There will be staff available to direct you.

We just heard from the Wapo Bear Trap Sanitary District that the fireworks are set up and ready for tonight!!

Here’s tonight’s schedule :

8:30pm - Light up the Flag in Bear Trap, NE shore from atop the boathouse at 741 115th St. Flag lighting followed by a canon salute and the National Anthem. There will a donation 💰 bucket at the end of the dock; all funds go to the Amery VFW.

9:45pm - Light up the Lake. Light flares along your shoreline. 🔥

10:15ish - Fireworks launched from the Wapo Bible. Please stat safe on shore and in the boat if you venture out. Thanks to everyone that donated money for show! 🎇

As you head out on the lakes today, check out a new feature on Polk County's GIS portal, Beacon. Not only did the Polk County Land & Water Resources Department add the Slow No Wake & Suggested Wake Surfing Areas the Beacon portal, but you can also find your location on the portal while boating. Take a look at this document for instructions how to take full advantage of this valuable tool.
