1.Lessons are given during the NSW Public School terms.
2. A 24 hour notice of cancellation is required to qualify for a make up lesson.
3. Make up lessons are limited to no more than one lesson per term.
4. All missed lessons are counted as given and must be paid for.
5. Lessons are not refundable.
6.All students must attend o
ne lesson per week to ensure their playing progresses at a faster rate.
7. Please try to turn up on time to ensure you get as much as you can out of your lesson.
8. Fees are payable per term in advance.
9.Parents will be kept informed of their Childs progress via half yearly written reports. Parents are also welcome to call at any time to discuss how their child is going. Bio:
Muharrem Aslan is a Sydney based musician, composer and singer who specialises in teaching the baglama, piano and classical guitar. In his 25 years of professional experience, he has developed his knowledge of music theory and technique to achieve outstanding accomplishments. Muharrem was awarded a Bachelor of Music (Honours, Class 1A) from The University of New South Wales. His work has composed several new playing techniques for the baglama which are currently being taught and will undoubtedly be used by future generations. Muharrem has composed, performed and produced a large repertoire of music, featuring these on several albums which have successfully reached wide audiences on digital platforms. Additionally, he has developed an original grading system for the baglama. Muharrem has been teaching the Baglama, piano and classical guitar for over 20 years. Music has been his lifelong passion and he finds it a joy to share it with others, whether through performing, teaching, or collaborating. Studying music goes beyond just learning an instrument, it enhances critical thinking skills, creativity and discipline. Muharrem’s students range from beginners to advanced players with lessons structured to be progressive, achievable and fun. He incorporates his knowledge of performance, technique, theory and aural skills into lessons, successfully preparing students for AMEB exams, performance and recreational purposes. Baglama student’s progress through a comprehensive grading system devised by Muharrem for beginners to advanced. Muharrem’s extensive experience in a wide range of musical genres allow him to offer an inspiring approach for each of his students, tailored to individual needs, focusing on technique, musicality and music appreciation.
