Father of the Worlds smartest family in Britain, Nigerian-born Prof. Chris Imafidon has admonished the federal government to seek new and practical ways to indulge digital wizards popularly called ‘Yahoo-Yahoo,” saying that the usual resort to profiling and punishing these internet fraudsters is not the best way to deal with it.
Imafidon who spoke in Abuja at a conference titled “The Nigerian Child; The Genius” organized by Arete Copious Services Limited in alliance with Africa House London, Rotary and Diamond Clubs Asokoro, Imafidon advised the government to invest more in human development and that governments at all levels must seek newer and practical ways to redirect the creative energies of these youths into more productive ventures.
He said, “What Nigeria needs is not social mobility; it is survival. Why do you build a house as if you were living in a prison and vote so much money for security, so much money for guns? And they said they are trying to protect themselves? From who? Or do you use half of that money to educate people that would have been armed robbers and then give yourself security? We can not have so much money for security. I have never heard of Chinese importing armed robbers to Nigeria, they are our biological children. Some are cultists, but were they born cultists?
The Americans have Rugby, a very ‘physical’ sport. They created it for their youths to be able to deploy their energy in sports. A University in America made $1.5 billion dollars in a year from Rugby competition. Give me the so-called ‘yahoo-yahoo’ boys. You do not need to take them for any deliverance. These are the people that create viruses and anti-viruses. They create life-saving apps,” he continued.
“So, you don’t need security Mr Governor. I don’t care where you govern. You don’t need a private jet because you are a governor of seven local government areas. I have a privilege being an adviser to a woman, who is the Head of State of 52 nations; she doesn’t have a private jet”. So, What you need is a little bit of education, if you have an education you will know that you are the Father-in-Chief of every child in that state, you will see every child as your own biological child and you will be interested in those children achieving their dreams. So, get your so-called budget for security and secure your life by giving education to all”, he stated. Imafidon said since Nigeria cannot afford ignorance, she must do everything to ensure that her citizens afford quality education,” he admonished.
Nigerian-born Helen Grant of the United Kingdom Parliament advised parents and educationists on the effective ways to raise geniuses even within the scope of limited resources.

STAY INFORMED!!!!!1
Following the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28 polls, concerned educationists and stakeholders have called on the President-elect to make education top priority in his administration, saying no nation can progress without educating her people. Nigeria’s education sector is currently battling with corruption, inadequate funding, low enrolment of students in basic education as Nigeria houses over 10 million out of school children, low quality of teachers at all levels of education, poor performance of students in public examinations, among others. During his presidential campaign, Buhari promised that, if elected, his administration would provide free education, one free meal a day to students in primary and secondary schools, decent accommodation and involvement of teachers in school-related decisions, and provision of allowance to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members who are in the skills and entrepreneurial development programmes, among others.

THE GREAT IFE!!!!!
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a federal government[1] owned and operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The university was founded in 1961 and classes commenced in October 1962 as the University of Ife by the regional government of Western Nigeria, led by late chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, and was renamed Obafemi Awolowo University on 12 May 1987 in honour of Chief Obafemi Awolowo (1909–1987), first premier of the Western Region of Nigeria, whose brainchild the university was. The decision to establish the University of Ife (popularly referred to as "Great Ife" by the ruling Action Group party of the Western Region of Nigeria was in protest at the recommendations of the Ashley Report. The first Nigerian university was established in 1948 at Ibadan, in the western region as an external college of the university of London. However, the needs of Nigeria (then a British colony) far outstripped the productivity of the only university. In particular the University College at Ibadan had no faculty of engineering or technology, no law school, no pharmacy school or management training abilities. The Ashby commission, set up by the British, was to review tertiary education needs of the soon-to-be-independent nation of Nigeria.
In February 1966, Lt-Col Francis Adekunle Fajuyi, the Visitor of the University of Ife and the first Military Governor of the Western Region, appointed Professor Hezekiah Oluwasanmi as the new Vice-Chancellor, and a Chief TT Solaru as the pro-chancellor and gave them money and marching orders, to relocate to the permanent campus by October 1966. Fajuyi was killed in the military mutiny of July 1966 at Ibadan, and did not witness the movement he orchestrated. Fajuyi Hall, a residential hall for undergraduate male students was named to honor his contributions in perpetuity.
Ife started the first Faculty of Pharmacy in West Africa, the first Department of Chemical Engineering and the first Electronics component in addition to Electrical Engineering. Its medical school started with an integrated curriculum and community orientation (which was later adopted by the World Health Organization) and a compulsory baccalaureate (BSc honours) before entrance to the clinical school, but this was later jettisoned.
The Great Ife as popularly known has produced exceptional graduants making the country pround in their various endavours all around the world.

The University of Ibadan (UI) is the oldest Nigerian university,[2][3] and is located five miles (8 kilometres) from the centre of the major city of Ibadan in Western Nigeria. It is popularly known as Unibadan or UI. Besides the College of Medicine, there are now 11 other faculties: Arts, Science, Agriculture and Forestry, Social Sciences, Education, Veterinary Medicine, Technology, Law, Public Health, and Dentistry. The university has residential and sports facilities for staff and students on campus, as well as separate botanical and zoological gardens. In September 2016, it became the first Nigerian university to make the top 1000 in Times Higher Education rankings. Prior to that, it had always made the top African 10 in Webometrics Rankings. Its management envisions UI becoming one of the top 100 universities in the world in the near future.
The origins of the university are in Yaba College, founded in 1932 in Yaba, Lagos,as the first tertiary educational institute in Nigeria. Yaba College was transferred to Ibadan, becoming the University College of Ibadan, in 1948.[4] The university was founded on its own site on 17 November 1948. In late 1963, on the university playing-fields, with a celebration marked by talking drums, the Rt. Hon. Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, first Prime Minister of independent Nigeria, became the first Chancellor of its independent university. The first Nigerian vice-chancellor of the university was Kenneth D**e, after whom the University of Ibadan's library is named.
