Drumroll please 🥁 🥁🥁🥁🥁... after long wait, MUCH anticipation and lots of organisation we at AUWEMs proudly announce... INTRO NIGHT!!!! "Where is it??!!" I hear you ask, Suttie Centre Lecture Theatre. "When is it" you also ask, Tuesday 19th at 1730. Best of all, admission is FREE!! Come along and test your might against the various WEMS-y equipment that the committee has set out for you.

We’ll just have to wait that extra week to get our WEMSy fix but it’ll be so much sweeter!

*AGM 2022*

Hey everyone, it’s that time of year again!

This years AGM will be taking place at 5pm on Tuesday the 17th of May in person at the Suttie Centre (room TBC). Alternatively people will be able join via a zoom link which will be shared on the day.

As per usual we will be going over what we were up to this year before selecting next years committee!

The available roles will be:

•President - in charge of coordinating the years agenda

•Vice President - supports the president in their duties and stands in for them when the president is absent

•Treasurer - Responsible for the society’s funds

•Secretary - Responsible for taking meeting minutes and being the main point of contact the society members

•Health & Safety Officer - Responsible for risk assessing all the societies events and acting as AUSA COVID safety officer

•Social Secretary - in charge of organising the society socials and running the societies social media accounts

• Outdoors coordinator - Responsible for organising and planning the societies outdoors events

•Pre-Hospital Care Rep - Acts as the main point of contact with the teaching faculty and coordinates the pre-hospital care teaching

•Inverness Rep - Acts as the main point of contract for society members in Inverness and assists with running activities that take place in the highlands

• Year Reps - one student from each year who assists with enhancing student engagement in their year

Everyone who applies for a role will be expected to prepare a few words on why they would like to put themselves forward for the role (nothing major, don’t worry!). If anyone cannot make the AGM but would still wish to apply for a role, they should send a small application to our email ([email protected]) and it will be read out at the meeting on your behalf.
