DON'T FORGET....you can now apply for the 2026 Residential & Training Team visit to EASTWOOD HALL. Another 3 brilliant courses to choose from including Embroidery, Wet Felting or Plotting with the Potty Plotters! The courses are being held on the 19th & 20th April 2026 at EASTWOOD HALL and you can apply by either ringing or e-mailing the DFWI office or ask your WI Secretary for the application form which was included with your October Link mailing.

A beautiful sunny day welcomed us for a ‘cruise’ along the canal from Mercia Marina to Stenson Bubble and back, steered along by ‘Norman’. We then enjoyed a light lunch, prepared by our baking maestro Beryl, and served under dappled shade on the banks of the water. A perfect way to spend a Monday with friends, chatting, laughing and enjoying the sights and sunshine. We come from all walks of life and would never had met had it not been for the WI and all it has to offer.

As the schools break up and people start heading out on their adventures - both at home, and abroad - we wanted to remind you of our postcards initiative, . By sending a postcard to our residents you can help to connect them to the rest of the world, while encouraging conversations about past holidays and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation. We first requested your cards seven years ago, and every single one brightens our day no end.
