With the view to providing extra training opportunities to the post-graduate students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications of AUTh, we have planned a series of workshops aiming to enhance students' skills and competence in digital media, communication, and journalism.

Beginning in December, the first two-day workshop is dedicated to INFOGRAPHICS.

Workshop Description: From the cave paintings in France to today's visualized news using infographics, the interpretation remains the same. Panos Konstantopoulos and Stella Tsiarvoula present -with a brief historical review- iconic and historical infographics, the basic design tools and analyze how an infographic is tailor-made and designed for the medium that will publish it. The last part of the presentation will focus on an assignment. Participants will create their own infographic working on real, current news.

DAY 1/ Friday 2, December 2022
13:30-16:30: An introduction to infographics: brief historical review, iconic & historical infographics, basic design tools.
DAY 2/ Saturday 3, December 2022
10:00 - 15:00: How each infographic is tailor-made designed for a specific medium. Creating an infographic working on real, current news.
