Ever feel like you have trouble finding balance in your life? Or maybe you have too many balls in the air? Well, at least you are not trying to juggle dangerous barbed wire spheres! The artist,, Richard Swanson, calls his sculpture “Stanza” while it screams “Tension” to me, picturing Tom Cruise suspended from the ceiling in the first Mission Impossible.

Look again 👀 Do you see the face and chest in this rock formation? Kids on a virtual field trip had us searching all through Plains Indian Museum to find the “stone statue of a man” as they described it.
The Seneca tell a story of Great Stone, a rock who told the first story and began the Native American tradition of Winter storytelling. Our stone man could tell many stories from all the visitors here over many years.
