DIPS College Co-Educational, Dhilwan organised a refreshing and memorable outing for its students to DIPS Nurmahal, offering them a perfect blend of recreation, adventure and entertainment.

The students enthusiastically enjoyed their time at the Swimming Pool of DIPS Nurmahal Sports Complex, where they made the most of the day with fun, laughter and exciting moments.

The excitement continued at the DIPS Discovery Theatre, where the students enjoyed a special screening of the inspirational movie Lakshya. The movie experience was made even more enjoyable with refreshments, including popcorn and cold drinks.

The entire outing was efficiently managed and coordinated by Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Ms. Balwinder Kaur, Ms. Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Pooja, ensuring a smooth, safe and enjoyable experience for all students.

The programme was organised under the overall guidance of Coordinator Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, whose support contributed to the success of the outing.

With moments of fun, friendship, recreation and inspiration, the day turned into a wonderful experience that the students will cherish for a long time.

DIPS College Co-Educational, Dhilwan, celebrated Sadbhavna Day on 20 August 2026 under the able guidance of Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Coordinator.

The programme was organised by Mr. Kunal, Ms. Saya and Mr. Sahil Rajput, with the active participation of faculty members and students. The celebration highlighted the importance of peace, unity, harmony and mutual understanding in society.

The programme featured an inspiring speech and a soulful song, conveying the message of communal harmony and brotherhood. The event concluded with a Sadbhavna Pledge, which was taken collectively by all the faculty members and students present.

DIPS College Dhilwan Celebrates World Photography Day

DIPS College Co-Educational, Dhilwan, celebrated World Photography Day on 19 August 2026 with a creative photography session on the theme “Nature,” encouraging students to capture the beauty of the natural world through their lenses.

The activity was conducted under the able guidance of Coordinator Mrs. Harpreet Kaur and managed by Mr. Supriyan, Mr. Sahil Singh, and Mr. Sahil Rajput. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity and photography skills.

The entries were evaluated on the basis of creativity, composition, and relevance to the theme by Er. Kunal and Ms. Pooja. Sahil (DCA) secured First Position, Ramanjot Singh (B.Sc. Economics 2nd) secured Second Position, and Sandeep Kaur (B.Sc. 2nd) secured Third Position.

The session provided students with an opportunity to express their creativity while developing a deeper appreciation for nature and photography. The celebration concluded with the inspiring spirit of “Capture Moments, Create Memories.”

*DIPS College Organizes Poster Making Competition on “Say No to Drugs”*

DIPS College Co-Educational, Dhilwan, organized a Poster Making Competition on “Say No to Drugs” on 18 August 2026 under the Eco Club and NSS. The activity was held at the Library at 11:10 a.m. under the guidance of Coordinator Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Vice Principal Dr. Sardul Singh, and was coordinated by Er. Kunal, Ms. Saya Saini, and Ms. Amanpreet Kaur.

Students enthusiastically participated and used creative posters to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Navjot Kaur (B.A. 1st), Vicky (DCA), and Dilpreet Kaur (B.Com 1st) were among the participating students.

DIPS College Dhilwan organised an insightful expert talk on “English Beyond Exams: Using Language in Real Life” at the College Auditorium on 17 August 2026 Under the aegis of IIC – Institution’s Innovation Council, DIPS College Dhilwan. The programme was held under the able guidance of Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Coordinator, (DIPS College) and was managed by IIC Convenor Mr. Sahil Rajput. The session was led by Dr. Romila Sharma, Director Academics, DIPS Institutions, who highlighted the importance of real-world skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, confidence, collaboration and digital awareness. Through interactive discussions, student interaction and the engaging “60-Second Challenge,” students explored effective self-expression, meaningful connections and confident communication. Dr. Sharma emphasised the importance of language for education, career growth and creating opportunities in an increasingly digital, global and AI-driven world. DIPS College Co-Educational Dhilwan celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme began with a welcome speech by Mr. Kunal, followed by a speech by the Head Girl, who highlighted the significance of Independence Day. A video demonstration by the Youth Services Department was presented, followed by Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions, where Manisha secured first position and Simranjeet Kaur from BCA secured second position. Students also presented patriotic songs, followed by a certificate distribution ceremony. The celebration continued with flag hoisting at the college ground, followed by the National Anthem. A Tricolour face-painting activity was also organised for the students, adding to the patriotic spirit. DIPS College Co-Educational, Dhilwan, celebrated National Librarian’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India. The programme was organised by Ms. Pooja, Librarian, under the able guidance of Coordinator Mrs. Harpreet Kaur. The programme began with an informative speech by Ms. Pooja highlighting the significance of the day and Dr. Ranganathan’s contribution to library science. It was followed by a video presentation prepared by college volunteers, featuring a play promoting the importance of books and reading. The celebrations further featured a Book Exhibition and Book Recommendation Wall. The exhibition showcased a valuable collection of books gifted to the college by Pingalwara, Amritsar, during the college’s visit, as a gesture of love and goodwill. The Recommendation Wall encouraged students to share books that inspired them and promote a culture of reading. Science City, Kapurthala, celebrated International Youth Day on 12th August under the able guidance of Mrs. Kamaljeet Kaur, Deputy Education Officer, Science City, Kapurthala. The programme was graced by the warm presence of Dr. Bhiminder Singh, Director, Youth Welfare Department, Punjabi University, Patiala, who delivered an insightful lecture and guided the students about the significance of the day. The theme of the celebration was “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” The students also took a pledge against drug abuse (Yudh Nashyan Virodh) and participated in a gallery visit across the Science City campus along with the faculty members. DIPS College, Co-Educational, Dhilwan, organised a Super Speller Championship under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The activity was conducted by Mrs. Panna Angrish, with the presence of IIC Convenor Mr. Sahil Rajput, under the able guidance of Coordinator Mrs. Harpreet Kaur. The competition included a spelling dictation round, where students listened carefully to the words and wrote their spellings. This was followed by a lively tongue-twister game, which encouraged interaction, confidence and enthusiastic participation among the students. Samarjot Kaur (M.Com 1st Semester) secured the First Position, followed by Jasleen Kaur (B.Com 1st Year) at Second Position and Palakpreet Kaur (M.Com 1st Year) at Third Position.
