Kerala Natya Academy A dance institution for those with a strong passion for dance; those who want to experience and experiment; and those who are yet to discover their talent.

What started out as a homeroom class in Trivandrum, a small city in Kerala, Kerala Natya Academy has now flourished into one of the leading dance institutions in Kerala. Founded in 1972 by Natyasreshtta Kalamandalam Vimala Menon, the academy has trained more than ten thousand students into professional dancers. Kerala Natya Academy, a non-profitable organization, has had only one vision throughout

its 44 years of existence - to encourage and expand South Indian classical dances. The academy’s core is its intent passion and devotion to dance and its many forms. The academy has an incredibly wide reach with students from all over the world under their teachings and guidance. Kerala Natya Academy currently has two branches - one in India and Malaysia. Managed by Smt. Kalathilakkom Vinduja Menon, daughter of the founder, Kerala Natya Academy has numerous students and has performed at various events.

Like any of your disciples, I m blessed too to fit in all.

You live for the Art, determined to share your wealth of knowledge with seekers, entrusting to become "Kala Upasakar" and thus elevating the Art to its peak. You never were an ordinary teacher who talks, neither a good teacher who just explained. But you are always an excellent Mahaguru who inspires. The 'mentor among tormentors' - a very few existing. My prayers are that let you continue to inspire, teach many more, mold their character to be better humane, train them as professionals, prepare them to challenge hazards, as always be the conclusive name as their problem-solver, be there as a lifesaver and see them GROW and GROW.
