We would like to take a moment to celebrate two educators as they reach important milestones in their careers.

We were fortunate to have Stormy complete her education while working at Morning Star. As she moves on from our centre, we thank her for her contributions and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors.

We would also like to welcome Hailey to our team. After recently completing her Early Childhood Education program at Assiniboine College, she joins us with enthusiasm and a passion for working with children and families. We are excited to have her as part of the Morning Star team.

As we celebrate Early Childhood Educators Week I would like to take time to say thank you.

To our team at Morning Star Daycare Inc, you show up every day ready to care, guide, redirect, encourage, and sometimes just sit on the floor and be exactly what a child needs in that moment. That work isn’t easy, and it often goes unseen, but it matters more than words can capture.

You are the calm in hard moments, the excitement in new discoveries, and the steady presence children count on. The relationships you build are the heart of our centre.

I am grateful for each of you and the way you make Morning Star what it is.

Morning Star Daycare will be holding our Annual General Meeting on December 15, 2025, and we invite all families to join us! During the AGM, we will be reviewing our current Executive Board roles and nominating two General Board Members.

Did you know our daycare relies on a Board of Directors to operate and provide essential oversight? If you’re interested in contributing to this important role, please email your letter of intent to [email protected] no later than December 14 to be included on the ballot.

All families in attendance will receive one vote per family. Please note that proxy voting is not permitted, as outlined in Morning Star Daycare bylaws.

We are incredibly grateful to Twin Valley Co-op for selecting Morning Star Daycare as one of this year’s Fuel Good Day recipients!

On September 16, 10¢ per litre of fuel purchased at the Birtle Gas Bar was donated directly to our centre — totaling an amazing $710! 🙌

As a non-profit organization, fundraising plays a vital role in helping us continue to provide quality care and programs for our community’s children. Every litre filled that day made a real difference, and we truly appreciate the support from everyone who fueled up.
