Happy GED Grad Day! 🎓 Today, we’re celebrating every GED graduate—especially the incredible 59 KFC restaurant employees who earned their high school credentials through the KFC Foundation’s GED Achievement program this past year. 🎉

Through our partnership with GED Testing Service, employees at participating KFC restaurants receive FREE unlimited access to official GED prep and testing in both English and Spanish.

And earning a GED is just the beginning! Active KFC restaurant employees who complete the program are also guaranteed a scholarship to the accredited college or trade school of their choice.

From balancing work at KFC, hockey, and finishing his senior year of high school strong to pursuing a future helping others heal and recover, Colin is turning hard work into purpose.

A soon-to-be exercise science student at the University of Cincinnati, Colin hopes to become an athletic trainer or occupational therapist—helping people regain confidence, independence, and the ability to do what they love.

The scholarship will also allow Colin to continue playing hockey in college—something that has been a meaningful part of his life and motivation for his future career goals.

We’re proud to support Colin as he works towards his goals. 🎓

Taniyah is a shift supervisor who has worked at KFC since she was a teenager. She once feared she might have to give up on her dream of becoming a lawyer after leaving college due to the cost.

“Every day I regret leaving college because it wasn’t hard—I was passing every class,” Taniyah shared in her scholarship essay.

That path changed when she received a $5,000 KFC Foundation scholarship—giving her the opportunity to continue pursuing her goals. Her story is a powerful reminder of what access and support can make possible.

Yesterday, the KFC Foundation team had the chance to celebrate one of our 2026 scholarship winners, Aliayh!

Aliayh is a freshman at the University of Louisville studying psychology. She also works full-time as the Assistant Manager at the KFC in New Albany, IN and has been part of the KFC family since November 2021.

She was completely surprised when friends and family showed up to celebrate the moment with her. 🥳
